Hybrid CPAP Mask - the Rest of the Story

Rethinking Full Face Masks

When it comes to her CPAP mask selection Lauren Diggins was all business. Which is why she settled on one of the full face masks.

Still she didn't take to wearing the CPAP headgear as she had hoped. Even though she knew it was important she do so. At least if she wanted to stop waking up feeling exhausted from her obstructive sleep apnea.

"One of the first problems I had with the full face masks was rain out," Lauren revealed. "I guess that's what it's called. That's where you end up with condensation inside the mask. I solved that for the most part by using a hose tube cover from my medical supplier."

"While I felt a bit claustrophobic being a mouth breather at night, a nasal mask wouldn't do. I knew that."

"Then I stumbled upon the hybrid CPAP mask. And I thought, 'Hey, that might be a good alternative to the full face masks for me.'

Basically the hybrid CPAP mask is a combo full face mask with a nasal pillow system.

"I decided since I had it I might as well give it the ole college try, know what I mean?" Lauren asked.

"And you know what? Unlike before, I found the hybrid CPAP mask to be incredibly comfortable," Diggins gushed. "The whole deal with the nostrils is very soft. Best of all I had no leaks with the bottom part. Which was another problem I had with the full face masks I had tried.

"So if you're unhappy with the CPAP mask selection you've made don't despair," advised Diggins. "If any of the full face masks aren't working for you, why not consider a hybrid CPAP mask? I'm sure glad I did."
